Jing Yang

Jing Yang is the Asia Bureau Chief at The Information, where she oversees coverage of the region's tech industry, including AI, semiconductors, venture capital and more. Previously she was a senior correspondent at The Wall Street Journal in Hong Kong, where she covered everything from Wall Street’s foray into China to Beijing’s crackdown on tech platforms. She also has stints at Bloomberg News in Shanghai, where she covered China’s biggest conglomerates, as well as South China Morning Post and shipping journal Lloyd’s List. Jing is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.
